Why We Created a Video Production Company

This is the first video I ever made.

I was a 15 year old high school freshman, with the option of making a 10 minute video or giving a 5 minute speech in my speech class.

Like any self-conscious teenager, I chose the video option. Something about being able to curate my presentation in a pre-produced fashion sounded way better than a balls-of-my-feet reactionary delivery.

Fast forward to almost 15 years later, and that’s what I’m still doing. Video has been a part of my life since I was that kid in Bethany, OK. It’s taken me from Oklahoma to Colorado, then to Kansas, Missouri, and back to Kansas in 5 short years. It’s what I’ve been doing my entire professional life, and it’s what I’ll continue to do for the rest of it.

For the entirety of my career, I’ve worked in-house, on teams of video professionals. Most of the time, my work was offered to clients as part of a larger package, or as an auxiliary service. I’ve never worked at a company that prioritized video production. That is, I’ve never worked at a video production agency. Until now.

We created this company to focus on video. We want to make sure that the meat of any campaign, the bones of any strategy, and the heart of whatever it is we sign on to partner with our clients is video at its finest. We utilize strategies to get our videos in front of your clients, in front of the people you want to impact, but our goal in everything is to create videos that are effective. Then we focus on getting them in front of people.

Effective video is something I’ve been chasing most of my career. We think we’ve found it with Forest Production Company. We are so excited to finally be doing video, on our own terms. Video Production is the main output of Forest Production Company. It’s what we do. It’s why we’re here. It’s why we created this company.
